Of course, you may vary the size and type of treats you place inside the Kong to make your dog's treasure hunt for treats more challenging. Try varying the size of dog biscuits by breaking them up (larger pieces take more work to get out). You can layer hard dog treats, such as dog biscuits, with soft dog treats (peanut butter, soft cheese, Kong Stuff'n Liver Paste). After stuffing the Kong with goodies, you can seal the ends with soft cheese or peanut butter to make it more interesting. Large: 4 1/4 inches long--recommended for medium to large dogs such as: Basset Hound, Boxer, Chow Chow, Collie, Dachshund, Irish Setter, Standard Poodle, Samoyed, Standard Schnauzer, Scottish Terrier, Springer Spaniel, and other similar mixed breed power chewers. Extra Large: 5 inches long--recommended for larger dogs such as: Basset Hound, Golden Retriever, Bull Terrier, Labrador Retriever, and similar power chewers. Original King: 6 inches long--recommended for Akita, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Mastiff, Rottweiler, and similar power chewers. Ultra King: 7 inches long--recommended for large, ultra-strong dogs.
