The 4-watt heater with dual thermostats keeps the surface of this heated cat bed between 12 and 15 degrees above ambient room temperature. When being used, the temperature rises to a cat-comfortable 102 degrees. (Temperatures higher than 102 degrees are not safe for pets.) When no warmth is needed, the heater is easily removed.
