No matter how beautiful, expensive, or well-constructed, a collar must fit properly. Choosing the correct size can be a bit tricky. Here are some guidelines to help in deciding which size is best for your dog:

Measure carefully. The best and easiest thing to do is to take a piece of string and measure your dog's neck. Many times the manufacturer will provide measuring and sizing suggestions which we include in the collar descriptions. Some may recommend adding an extra inch or two to the measured length (depending on the design of the collar). Others may simply use the diameter of your dog's neck.
