Cat Grooming
Cats are top-notch self-groomers. We've all watched them tirelessly washing, licking, and chewing to clean and straighten their coats, claws, faces, and ears. They usually manage to keep themselves in great shape, but sometimes cats need a little help. A cat that has been ill may stop grooming. Long-haired cats, if not brushed regularly, develop mats that grow larger until they must be cut away. Then, too, there is the occasional encounter between a cat and a smelly creature. (The old "saturate your cat in tomato juice to remove skunk odor" advice is still good today.) Fleas cause skin problems that cats can't resolve on their own. So, there are times when cats simply need a little help in maintaining their handsome, pristine appearance. Remember, a well-groomed cat is a happy cat!
